Hello and welcome to my blog! These recipes, tips and thoughts come from my show “Inspired Cooking” which can be seen Tuesdays at 8:30, Fridays at 4:30 and Sundays at 11:30 on Cape Ann TV, Channel 12.
Each episode revolves around a specific theme, and “inspiration” if you will. The inspiration could be an ingredient, a style of food, a special guest or an event and I will prepare recipes and share ideas using the inspiration for the week.
Having my own show is something new and different for me. I am not a chef, nor have I been professionally trained but I have a real love of cooking and baking and enjoy sharing that on television. I really have no qualifications other than that I enjoy creating new recipes and I am happy to share them with you.
I have, however, competed in numerous recipe and cooking competitions and have been fairly successful since my first blue ribbon for my “Toasted Pecan Toffee Cookies” at the Topsfield Fair in 2006. One blue ribbon and I knew I was hooked! Since then I have won or placed many national, regional and local contests and will cook lots of these recipes on the show. I will also post the recipes on this blog and/or provide the link to a contest sponsor’s website so you can make them yourselves.
If you have any questions for me, suggestions for “inspirations” or guests for the show please feel free to leave me an email comment or email me directly at laurielufkin@yahoo.com.
Thanks you so much for watching!
Saw your bread and butter pickle youtube video but had no amounts for some of the ingredients…can you enlighten me as to the ingredient list and amounts?
Thanks for your help as I am unable to find it anywhere else.
Chuck.

Hi Laurie,
Just wanted to get the recipe for the pumpkin bread and carmel sauce you demonstrated at the Harvest Fai
Your mom was a pleasure to talk to her.

Hi Laurie,
I am an editor working on a Family Circle branded cookbook called Hometown Cooking that features prizewinning recipes from across the country. One of the recipes we are including is your New England Buttermilk Pumpkin Cakes with Sour Cream Apple Caramel and Dried Cranberries. We have permission from the dairy to use the photo—and we’ve photographed it—but we would love to get in touch with you. We generally run a short bio of the prizewinner and a photo. My e-mail is below. Many thanks!
